LEGALBENCH

For Lawyers

Join LegalBench with an accurate professional profile and admission details for each jurisdiction where you practise.

A professional profile, not a generic freelancer listing

LegalBench is designed around legal matters, consultations and clearly defined engagements. Lawyer accounts retain the platform’s account features while presenting professional information in language clients can understand. Your public profile must be factual, appropriately limited and consistent with the rules that apply to your profession and jurisdiction.

Who can apply

Apply if you are admitted or otherwise authorised to provide the legal services you intend to offer. Use the professional title permitted in your jurisdiction. A law degree, an LLM, an internship or law-student status alone is not a practising licence. If you are not admitted, do not present yourself as a practising lawyer or take on work reserved to an authorised professional.

What to prepare

  • Your professional name and the account email you control.
  • Country, admitting jurisdiction, regulator and professional enrolment number.
  • Current practising status and any court, territory or service limits.
  • An official public-register reference where available.
  • Relevant admission evidence if an official record cannot establish your status. Redact unrelated personal details.
  • A factual biography, practice areas, languages and office location.

How publication works

Create a lawyer account, then submit your professional admission details. Admission approval is separate from account creation and identity review. It applies only to the reviewed jurisdiction. The platform may request clarification rather than publish an unsupported claim. Keep your details current and report restrictions, expiry or changes promptly.

Working with clients

Before accepting work, check conflicts, competence, permitted scope, identity requirements and capacity. Agree the engagement, fee basis, currency and confidentiality arrangements directly with the client in writing. Avoid outcome guarantees, unsupported rankings, misleading comparative claims or conduct prohibited by your professional rules. Paid features or platform access never replace professional admission.

Pakistan and international practice

Pakistan lawyers should consider their applicable bar rules, including the rules on professional conduct, advertising, solicitation and fee arrangements. International practitioners must consider the rules of each relevant jurisdiction. A LegalBench profile does not grant cross-border practising rights. Read our professional conduct guidelines and cross-border guide.
